Maree Elliott

The Director and Principal Migration agent, Maree Elliott has 25 years’ experience in the migration profession, initially as an officer with the then named Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs. Since 1999, Maree has worked in a range of migration practices before taking over HDMS in 2011.

During her years with Immigration, Maree held key positions which provided her with a sound strategic positon to operate effectively in case work and in forming lasting networks with immigration stakeholders.

Maree has been a member of the Migration Institute of Australia (MIA) since 1999; is on the Qld Committee; has been inducted as a Fellow of the MIA and was awarded the 2014 MIA Service Award for her contribution to the immigration advice profession.

As a member of the MIA, Maree has conducted workshops and contributes to its mentoring program for newly resgitered agents and provides them with advice on copmplex migration matters.

Since 2009 maree has also taught in the Australian National University (ANU), Graduate Certificate in the Immigration Law and Practice Program and is also an accrediited NAATI Translato/Interpreter in the Spanish and English languages and is a Qualifified Justice of the Peace.
